2.4 Class Management - Classes

2.4.1 Adding a new class

From the main Classes section, click the 'Add new class' button:

Select a year group from the drop-down menu and enter the name that you want your new class to be known by in the next field. Use the drop-down menu to select the course that applies to the class. The teacher list shows all of the teachers currently registered in the OCR Gateway Science Assessment system, click to tick the box next to all teachers you want to be able to assign work to this class. You can click 'Cancel' at any time to reset all of the fields to their initial values and start again. Once you have entered all the data, click the 'Save' button to save the class to the OCR Gateway Science Assessment database. You are then invited to save members into your class from an existing class. In this way you can copy students in bulk from one class to another.

You can now navigate to a new section or log out.

2.4.2 Amending details for an existing class

From the main Classes section, click the 'Amend existing class details' button and select a class from the drop-down menu. You will see a screen containing the same details you entered when you set up the class. Amend any details you need to amend, including the course, and click 'Save' to save the details to the OCR Gateway Science Assessment database.

You can now navigate to a new section or log out.

2.4.3 Deleting a class

From the main Classes section, click the 'Delete a class' button and select the year group and subject from the drop-down menus:

On the following screen, select the class that you would like to delete and click the 'Delete' button to remove it from the OCR Gateway Science Assessment database.
