2.3.3 Amending user details

Once users are set up in the system you can search for them and edit their user profile. You can change any of the data that you entered originally for any user, except for the username and password which are fixed when you first save the new user details. Note that users can change their own password for themselves.

To search for a user to amend details for, go to the Manage users section and click the 'Amend existing user details' button. Select Student or Teacher from the drop-down menu and enter a surname or first name to search on:

Click the 'Edit' button for the correct user to edit their details. You will see exactly the same screens as you worked through when you first set the user up. For student users you can quickly change the course and class information for all users returned in the Search results by clicking the 'Edit' button.

If the user you were searching for does not appear in the results list then click the 'Search again' button to begin another search. Once you have made all the necessary amendments you can either navigate to another section or log out.

If you choose class or year group from the initial drop-down menu you can use the 'Quick edit' button on the 'Quick Edit' screen to access and amend the course and class membership of the students. N.B. A printout of the class members will give the username and password of the members of the chosen class.
