2.5.1 Adding a new year group
From the main Year Groups section, click the 'Add new year group' button:

Enter the year name and choose a year from the drop-down menu. The year group name can be used to group the whole year (e.g. Year 10, Year 11) or can be used to divide the year up into smaller groups (Year 11 revision, Year 11 Top set, etc.). Once you have entered all the details, click 'Save' to save the class to the OCR Gateway Science Assessment database.
You can now navigate to a new section or log out.
2.5.2 Amending details for an existing year group
From the main Year Groups section, click the 'Amend existing year group details' button and select a year group from the drop-down menu. You will see a screen containing the same details you entered when you set up the year group. Amend any details you need to amend and click 'Save' to save the details to the OCR Gateway Science Assessment database.
You can now navigate to a new section or log out.
2.5.3 Deleting a year group
From the main Year Groups section, click the 'Delete a year group' button and select the academic year and year type from the drop-down menus:

The next screen shows a list of classes that match the criteria specified:

You are only able to delete year groups that do not have any classes assigned to them. Classes that are available to delete in the list have a blue button, and classes that are unavailable to delete have a purple button. Click the 'Delete' button for any classes you would like to delete and click 'OK' on the confirmation box to remove the class completely from the system. If you want to delete a year group that has classes allocated then you must first delete the classes (see section 3.4.3) allocated to the year group.
You can now navigate to a new section or log out.
